To identify if the mango is ripened, the fruit will gives slightly when gently squeezed. Ripe mangos will also have a fruity and sweet aroma at their stem.  Don’t rely on the skin colour as every variety has different colours when ripe.

To speed up the ripening process, place the mango in a paper bag at room temperature, and store for 2 days or until the fruit is ripe.

Melon 哈密瓜

→ How to know when it’s ripened?
The Melon is ready to eat when the underside of the fruit (the opposite side of the stem) yields slightly when pressed, and its trimmed stem has dried up & turned brownish. Also, a ripe melon tends to release a rich, pleasant aroma.

→ How to eat it?

  1. Once ripen, refrigerate the melon for several hours before consuming.
  2. Then, slice off the bitter stem.
  3. After washing the bitterness from the knife, slice the melon in half and scoop out the seeds.
  4. Cut the flesh into slices or cube to enjoy it.
  • For Yubari Melon, scoop out the flesh directly from the fruit to fully enjoy its sweet, soft and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

  1. 享用前,先将成熟蜜瓜冷藏数小时,口感会大升级!
  2. 切掉干枯的T形瓜蒂。
  3. 洗净刀上可能会有的苦涩味后,将蜜瓜对半切开,挖出瓜籽。
  4. 把果肉切成长条型或小块即可。
  • 若是夕张蜜瓜,汤匙直接舀出享用是最佳吃法!

储存方式
避免在室温下放置太久,应在0-2℃之间冷藏保存。冷藏前以塑料袋包裹储藏,可锁住香气。建议在成熟时立即享用。

Besides releasing a strong sweet aroma, a fully ripened peach should look plump and vibrant with no wrinkles on its skin.

→ How to eat it?

  1. Wash off the fuzz on the surface of the peaches in a bowl of water.
  2. Rinse the peaches under cool running water.
  3. Enjoy the fruit directly or peel off its skin before consuming.
    • How to peel skin: Use a knife to cut a shallow 2-inch wide “X” on the bottom of the peach. Dip only the skin where the knife scores into hot water. Then, pull the skin off with your fingers.

Peaches will continue to ripen as they are exposed to heat. Store ripe peaches in the refrigerator.
